“Model selection in rheology: providing a practical framework, surveying the field, and assessing the uses and limitations of BIC”

BIOGRAPHY

Anthony grew up in Plainfield, Illinois, before attending the University of Illinois where he received his undergraduate degree. Having had an opportunity to work in the Ewoldt Research Group as an undergrad, he joined as a graduate student in 2016.

RESEARCH INTERESTS

Anthony is interested in using Bayesian inference techniques for the selection of rheological models, particularly models for thixotropic fluids. He is also interested in the broader applications of model selection, both within and beyond rheology.

Anthony also enjoys in participating in scientific outreach and assists with the Rheology Zoo.
