Biography

Hi! I am a Ph.D. student (started Fall, 2023) with the Ewoldt Research group at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. For my Ph.D., I am studying how rheology can be utilized to improve additive manufacturing techniques like 3D printing.

Background

I graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology at Kanpur (IITK) with a Bachelor’s of Technology in Aerospace Engineering in 2023. During my undergrad, I conducted research on granular flows with Prof. Sanjay Kumar (IITK), computational methods of studying high-speed flows with Prof. Rakesh Kumar (IITK), and fluid-structure interactions of tape-spring structures with Prof. Frederick Gosselin (Polytechnique Montreal). I also actively participated in tech-related extracurricular activities at IITK, holding positions in the institute’s Robotics Club and Aerial Robotics team, where I focussed on the implementation of computer-vision algorithms in robotics related problem statements.

I am an avid enthusiast of Hindustani Classical Music: I trained in vocal music and earned a Sangeet Prabhakar degree from the Prayag Sangeet Samiti in Allahabad, India. I also play the harmonium, tabla, piano, and sitar and enjoy composing and extempore music.
