Biography

Thomas Livesay completed his Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Mechanical Engineering at Duke University in 2023, with a Computer Science minor and a certificate in Energy and the Environment. While at Duke, he engaged in research with Prof. Martin Brooke (Duke) as part of the XPRIZE Rainforest Competition aimed at mapping jungle biodiversity using drones. He joined the Ewoldt Research Group in 2023 and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering.

Research Interests

Thomas is interested in studying the underlying rheological phenomena involved in optimizing concrete 3D printing.
